Jessica wondered towards the stage, not really aware of where she was headed. She smiled to herself, grinning at a randon thought that had made it's way through her mind. The words playing on her brain, running around inside her head. She sat down elegantly on the stage, and just stared out. Jessica picked up her bag, and pulled out a music sheet. Standing, she practisised her song. Looking around she began to sing, smiling softly as she did.
"Spend all your time waiting for that second chance
For the break that will make it ok
There's always some reason to feel not good enough
And it's hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction oh beautiful release
Memories seep from my veins
They may be empty and weightless and maybe
I'll find some peace tonight
In the arms of an Angel fly away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
You're in the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here
So tired of the straight line, and everywhere you turn
There's vultures and thieves at your back
The storm keeps on twisting, you keep on building the lies
That you make up for all that you lack
It don't make no difference, escaping one last time
It's easier to believe
In this sweet madness, oh this glorious sadness
That brings me to my knees
In the arms of an Angel far away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
In the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here
You're in the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here"
She sang the song 'In the Arms of an Angel' by Sarah McLachlan. She thought it was a beautiful song, and most of the time it made her tear up, this time was no exception, as when she touched her cheek, sure enough her finger tips were dampened with tears. Jessica laughed breathlessly at herself. That song always made her feel so... emotional. She looked around, and found that she hadn't been as alone as she thought she had.
